Re: So who is Rickard Bronson, anyway?

Afterlife 3? I haven't finished Afterlife 2 yet! : P
Yeah, I haven't stopped by in a few weeks...
On the plus side, it will probably take a while, so I should have plenty of time to get through Afterlife 2. : D

Snakey suggestions...

I was playing a bit of Orbital Snake today, and ran across a couple potential issues and thought of a few feature suggestions as well. First of all, the new resend score feature is a bit problematic. As I mentioned before at ABB, I receive an "error communicating with server" most times the game att...

Re: Other Great Freeware Games

Tasty Static is pretty fun. I actually like it a lot better than SkyRoads. The relaxing atmosphere created by the music and abstract environments helps alleviate the impact of crashing for the 50th time, and there's a lot of variety in the worlds to keep things interesting. I managed to complete aro...

Re: Afterlife 2!

Saving at the end of each Act is certainly a possibility, though - I'll look into it. You still haven't fixed this, have you? : D I was playing again yesterday evening, and of course ran into that bluescreen issue again. I only lost one level worth of progress though. I wouldn't mind so much if the...

Re: Afterlife 2!

I finally got around to installing this today, and it's great so far. The overall visuals, gameplay and level design feels much improved from the first Afterlife, and the little extras like the ankh minigame are a nice touch. The cap is awesome, and once found in a level, losing your umbrella isn't ...

Re: PLEASE HELP

If it was deleted recently, you might try recovering it using a file restoration utility. Unless you wipe a file using a program specifically designed for that purpose, it remains easily retrievable until overwritten by something else. PC Inspector File Recovery is one freeware utility capable of re...

Re: Afterlife v1.7 Out Now!

I restored my save file and played a bit of the new Afterlife today, perfecting the remaining suicide mode acts in the Ice Caverns. The new umbrella jump handling works well, and makes it easier to rack up combos.

Anyway, nice work on this release! : )

I imagine you still haven't unlocked suicide mode. From here, you need to locate the hidden cruciform in each realm. Once you have collected all ten cruciforms, 'The Final Quest' will open, where you are given another realm of acts specifically designed for suicide mode. Complete these, and you'll w...

The move to 640x480 resolution is a welcome change. I was also having an issue with 320x240 mode ever since I replaced my nonfunctional 9800 Pro with an x1600 Pro earlier this year. In my case, the image appears horizontally stretched in the center of the display, and there's no obvious way to adjus...

Pocket Tanks is a Scorched Earth-style artillery game. It's has some neat weapons, but it's limited to only two tanks, and there isn't much variety in terms of terrain and visuals. The original Scorched Earth offers more configuration options and replayability. It might require a bit of effort to g...

I voted for the DS. : ) I don't have a DS or PSP yet, but I'm strongly considering picking up a DS Lite. The onyx black version is coming out soon, so I might get one of those. The DS Lite is relatively inexpensive here in the US, retailing at $129.99 USD. The games also tend to be less expensive th...

I'm liking swarm racer. : ) Currently I'm in 7th place for track 1 on the Online High Score List , with a time of 26:83. I haven't tried for competitive scores on the other tracks yet. Adding a high score list in a future RJB game might be nice. : ) Edit: I'm in 5th place on track 2 at 54:07. : ) Ed...

I didn't check here for a few days, and missed a few updates. : P Anyway, things are looking good, and I noticed some welcome control refinements in suicide mode. I like that new star effect for apotheosis and umbrella combos introduced with version 1.4. It looks nice, and it makes creating a chain of combos more fun. The new Mindwarp effects are a bit hypnotic and distracting, although I suppose that's how they're meant to be. : ) I still haven't tried demo ...

The Foulblight one shouldn't be impossible, since I did it. I've made that jump a few times before correctly making my way to the stone and exit. You just need to jump at the last possible moment when you're mostly over the edge, then not activate your umbrella jump until your head is just under the...
