Yeah, Goldeneye and Super Smash Bros are among my favorite games. Don't forget Gauntlet Legends, though.

1-4 players.
Choose from various fantasy heroes (If memory serves me, dwarf, wizard, tauren?, amazon, etc.)
Run around levels killing endless hordes of weak enemies, collecting and using money and items, while gaining experience.
It's originally an arcade game, and designed so that you can just pick it up and have some quick fun, or get a bit more obsessive if you have lots of quarters.
