This is happening whenever I try to enhance my woks skills.

That's odd. I wonder: how much Experience does your character currently have?

Hmm. Well, my first guess at what might be happening isn't right then.

I actually can't seem to recreate this. At what point is the crash happening? As soon as you select the menu option to enhance skills, or while you're operating the slider?

Presumably this menu was working for you until now? Has anything else changed (new skills, items, etc.) just before the problem started?

Is this happening for all of your evowok, or only for a specific one?

Yea I tested it on new woks, the ones in depot and different ones. It crashes when I select a skill to enhance or prowess. The only change I can think of is the update, I stopped using trainer experience since the beginning to save for any new rare woks since the ones from eggs hatch at prowess 1 >.<

Hmm. So it crashes as soon as you select a skill, before the slider even appears? And also when you select the option to enhance prowess from the menu?

Odd. I'll have to see if I can find a way to recreate this. It seems to be working fine for me at the moment...

I just tried a new file and I was able to enhance the skills :\ idk what to do now.

Okay, that's interesting - it means it's definitely something particular to your character.

I'm still not sure I can find anything that should be causing it yet though.

So the crash happens after the slider appears? Is it as soon as you confirm the amount of Experience to spend that it crashes? And the crash is happening both for spending Experience on enhancing Skills and for enhancing evowok Prowess?

No its after I select which skill to enhance, It crashes before the experience part. the crash also occurs as soon as I select prowess

Well... I still can't seem to make this happen for me, even when recreating all of the circumstances you've described.

I have found a possibility of a crash like this if your character's Experience total was somewhat higher than 30,000 (which I'll fix for the next update too, of course) - but certainly nothing I can find should cause the same issue with 3,328 Experience.

I think that what I may have to do is to write a small program which you can run to generate an error file that I can check and see if I can find the problem, if that would be okay?

Update: I've attached a zip containing a little .exe file which is designed to create a report file which you can send to me.

The .exe file just needs to be extracted and placed in the game directory (usually C:\Games\Evowok Breeder etc. - the same place as EvowokBreeder.exe), and will create a file called "Evowok Breeder Bug Report Data" in your Documents folder when you run it (you don't need to run the game - just the helper program).

If you could do this and send me that file, please (you can post it here or email it to me at contact@rjbsoftware.uk), that might be helpful in tracking down what's causing this crash for your character, hopefully.

Hi,

- The game crashes (error #6) whenever I click on the Bite skill (100%, with "severity") of my starting Lupi.
- The game sometimes freezes (the music continues to play) when I try to fish in the pound west of Feldspar.

Ah, thank you for finding/reporting. I'll release an update with fixes for these (and a few other things) probably a little later today.

This is happening whenever I try to enhance my woks skills.

I still haven't managed to find/recreate this bug - but I have fixed a potential bug that might possibly be responsible, so my intention is to release an update today with that fix, and hopefully that might solve the problem. If not, please do let me know - and do please feel welcome to run the helper program and forward the data file if you do get a chance. It would be good find out what this issue is.
